Zunyite on hematite - Qalat-e Balat, Hormozgan, Persia/Iran

Rare zunyite on hematite gangue. The crystal, of 1,1 cm of edge, and of brown-red color (sought), presents truncated edges. The faces are rather shiny, and present natural asperities as well as small flakes of hematite in inclusion. Specimens on matrix are rarer than isolated crystals because the latter generally do not hold in place on the hematite gangue. These Iranian zunyites were discovered in 2018 and have the particularity of being plurimillimetric, even centimetric, which is large for the species.
