Wavellite - Caurel, Côtes-d'Armor, France
Wavellite on quartzite, microcrystallized on surface. The wavellite is presented in fine colorless, shiny rods of nearly 6 mm long (the rosette measures 11 mm in diameter, which is remarkable for the locality!) The terminations are well visible thanks to the convex structure of the rosette. The iron oxides have been deliberately left in order to highlight the wavellite by contrast.
