AZURITE on ARSENTSUMEBITE - Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto, Namibia
Discovered on November 25, 1995 in Tsumeb, this sublime piece presents a superb color contrast. In addition to the fact that there are small intact crystals of intense blue azurite, these are on gangue of arsentumebite! This mineral is the analogue arsenate of the tsumebite, name from Tsumeb where the first discovery took place. On the base and so the picture you can see Conicalcite, but this is a bad identification (the label will be withdrawn). The crystals of Arsentumebite are easily recognizable by the binocular, what we did to be sure of the identification. The crystals are fantastic grossi! Fantastic collection aesthetic piece.
