Scalenohedron of intense red rhodochrosite covered almost entirely by a thin layer of quartz microcrystals that gives the piece a beautiful shine, while maintaining the red color of rhodochrosite. The crystals are very well trained and of a good size, typical of the famous N'Michwaning mine in South Africa.
