Fluorite - Rancennes, Ardennes, France
Cubic violet fluorite (rarer than the "Aztec pyramid" fluorites) of about 7 mm, on quartzite matrix, coming from Rancennes in the Ardennes. The edges are in fact darker than the core. This area was classified as a regional nature park in 1999. This piece comes from an old discovery that remained for many years with a local prospector and collector.
