Fluorite and barite - Saint-Peray, Ardèche, France
Exceptional miniature from Saint-Peray in Ardèche (France), a locality usually giving very small quantities of fluorite, barite, chalcopyrite and rarely crystallized calcite. Here, the cubes are quite large for the locality (up to 8mm for the longest edge), very bright and with a very nice deep purple color, which contrasts very well with the colorless and gem-like barite. This specimen also has a very nice architecture!
