Fluorite antozonite, calcite - Ojuela mine, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico
Fluorite is rare in this large Mexican mine, especially in well-crystallized form! Here, the deep purple cubes, translucent and with shiny surfaces are in rather good condition (minor defects). The fluorite, on a limonite gangue, has been freed from a white calcite encrustation of which some remains give a pleasant contrast to the piece.
