Carrolite on calcite - Kambove, Katanga, Congo
No less than ten crystals of carrolite compose this piece (largest crystal: 0.9 x 0.8 cm) whose matrix is none other than a calcite rhombohedron. The carrolite is very bright, and the surfaces show triangular or even rectangular growth patterns. This locality has provided the best specimens of carrolite in the world.
