Fluorite and quartz - Choir area, Gobi desert, Mongolia
Colorless to slightly green, translucent and brilliant fluorite cubes, in excellent condition, on white and orange microquartz (color given by iron oxides). The core of the fluorite fluoresces yellow / orange under long Uvs. Fluorite also reacts to long UVs by taking a blue color.
