Quartz on chrysocolla psm malachite psm azurite - Tenke-Fungurume mine, Katanga, Democratic Republic of Congo
Incredible piece resulting from a recent discovery (2020) of only a few specimens.
The initial shape would be due to barite or azurite crystals pseudomorphosed into malachite, itself partially replaced by chrysocolla of a magnificent turquoise blue, finally covered with microcrystals of translucent and very bright quartz
A superb technical and aesthetic rarity without damage. An ideal mineralogical specimen!
5 x 4,5 x 3,5 cm.
