Fluorite - Rancennes, Ardennes, France

Violet fluorite in "Aztec pyramid" on quartzite matrix from Rancennes in the Ardennes. In backlighting, one notices that the core is in fact very clear to colorless; only the edges give this purple color. This area was classified as a regional nature park in 1999. This piece comes from an old discovery that remained for many years with a local prospector and collector.
