Azurite psm tetrahedrite, quartz and malachite - Mine à Giraud (La Gardette), Isère, France
Aesthetic and rare association for the locality of quartz partially covered with iron oxides (some presenting the habitus of the dauphiné), azurite, and malachite in small spheres covering a small mineral pseudomorphosed in limonite which can be related to siderite, and especially of tetraèdrite pseudo or perimorphosed in azurite (on the right part of the piece by looking at the first photograph). Some partial perimorphs are present on the back. This coin comes from the Giraud mine, close to the famous La Gardette mine, known worldwide for its gold and especially the quality of its quartz. This type of coin is very unusual and therefore extremely rare on the market!
