Geode of chalcedony - Charroux, Vienne, France
Half-geode of blue (among the rarest) to white mamelonned chalcedony, from the surroundings of Charroux in the Vienne department (France). The chalcedony is orange-yellow in backlighting. Numerous hexagonal cells compose the outer crust of the geode: this structure is of fossil origin (coral).
