Grossular garnet " raspberry " - Sierra de Cruces, Coahuila, Mexico
A very nice raspberry pink garnet from Sierra de Cruces, Mexico, with a nice brilliance and size (1,5 cm for the main crystal). The top of this crystal is not damaged, the white part is a relic of carbonate rock. The back, incomplete, reveals a black heart. Analyses revealed that this core was composed of andradite garnet. Two varieties of garnet in one!
