Azurite psm tétraèdrite, malachite et quartz - Mine à Giraud (La Gardette), Isère, France
Exceptional piece because of its rarity and the quality of its composition: it is a perimorphosis of tetrahedrite (supposed) in azurite, perched on a small group of quartz naturally reddened by iron oxide still present on the surface. The crystal measures 2 cm of edge. A little malachite is visible on the back. This piece comes from the Giraud mine, close to the famous La Gardette mine, known worldwide for its gold and especially the quality of its quartz. This pseudomorphosis is very uncommon and therefore extremely rare on the market.
