Calcite - Gowd mine, Anarak district, Isfahan province, Persia/Iran
Group of multi-centimetric, well-bright calcite crystals. A small encrustation of hematite is also present on this piece. We can observe some phantoms, due to hematite inclusions (?). A few minor damages are to be noted, but that does not take anything away from the interest of this specimen from an uncommon locality. These calcites come from a mine closed since the 1960s.
12 x 8 x 8 cm.
