Chrysocolle psm ? And malachite - Tenke-Fungurume mine, Katanga, Democratic Republic of Congo
€450.00

Superb piece resulting from a recent discovery (2020) of only a few specimens.
The initial shape, reminiscent of a butterfly, is due to a tangle of barite or azurite crystals pseudomorphosed into chrysocolla partially covered with iron oxides. The whole is subtly sprinkled with brilliant quartz microcrystals giving a sparkling aspect to the piece.
A superb technical and aesthetic rarity!
5,5 x 4 x 5 cm.
