FLUORITE - Camissinone mine, Zogno, Bergamo, Lombardi, Italy
Sublime Fluorite from Zogno in Italy, very rare due to its double crystallization and size! Indeed, in the first generation we have a crystallization in rhombododecahedron which has undergone a dissolution, then came in the second generation this cubic crystallization. These pieces of Zogno require backlight to be able to see the color. If you use a cold light, the color will be dark blue, or a warm light the color will be dark purple. These specimens also have the particularity of being fluorescent, but by flash fluorescence. That is to say that at long UV, the color will be intense red, but it will fade gradually to disappear by itself. Just wait a little, then renew the UV to see this red color again.
