A fine example of Asaphus punctatus. The region in which these trilobites lived has undergone dramatic changes in salinity and turbidity, and trilobites have been able to make rapid evolutionary adjustments, geologically speaking. These adjustments were thought to make it easier for them to see predators and prey. Trilobite: 4 x 3.05 cm, 5 percent of restoration on this specimen. It is sold with its base engraved to measure black, dyed in the mass, made by us.
