AQUAMARINE and FLUORITE - Jos Plateau, Nigeria
Exceptional discovery in Nigeria for these specimens combining Aquamarine and Fluorite, both of which have the same hue. Fluorite has edges of 2.60 cm x 2.50 cm, and Aquamarine measures 4.10 x 0.70 cm. What is really striking here is that the blue-green color of Aquamarine comes from Vanadium, unlike almost anywhere else in the world. That s what gives it this superb intense color. Here, we really have the same shade on Aquamarine and Fluorite. The crystals are perfectly formed. The Aigue-Marine has an etched end and the Fluorite has a superb architecture. Rare and aesthetic collection specimen from the Jos Plateau in Nigeria.
