MORGANITE - Muiane, Gile, Zambezia, Mozambique
A recent discovery in the Muiane pegmatite shows perfectly formed Morganite crystals, but completely devoid of color. Spectroscopic analysis confirms that it is not Goshenite. The crystal lattice includes traces of manganese specific to Morganite. The absence of natural irradiation or thermal shock in this geological pocket prevented the activation of the pink color. The mineral retains the chemical signature of Morganite in a state of absolute transparency. The coin has a clear hexagonal crystallization and a brightness specific to the beryls of this deposit. It constitutes a rare sample of systematics that illustrates a blockage in the natural staining process. The exact provenance is the pegmatite of Muiane, Zambezia province, Mozambique, from a 2026 discovery.
