Discover this crystallized Atacamite from the famous La Farola mine at Cerro Pintado in Chile, the world reference deposit for this rare copper mineral. The coin is presented in the form of a large, balanced plate, whose main face is richly lined with acicular crystals of an intense and deep forest green. These fine interlocking needles catch the light beautifully, developing a vitreous sheen of extreme brilliance. The top of the specimen is crowned by a striking contrast of blue-green chrysocollus enhanced with microcrystalline white punctuations, offering a perfect chromatic relief. A superb piece, very visual and highly representative of this great Chilean classic.
