This hematite from the Col de Hirtzelach in Alsace presents a dense and very aesthetic grouping of fine blades intersecting in rosettes. Under the light, the piece reveals an intense metallic sheen enhanced by magnificent iridescent shades with subtly coppery reflections. The reverse of the coin shows its original matrix lined with shimmering micro-hematite, offering a superb geological contrast.
