CERUSSITE, BARYTE and GALENA - Les Dalles Mine, Mibladen, Midelt, Draa-Tafilalet, Morocco
This specimen brings together the Cerussite, the Baryte and the Galène from the famous Dalles mine in Mibladen, in the Midelt region of Morocco. The piece features two superb honey to amber-colored cerussite crystals, ideally perched at the top of the cluster. These translucent crystals reveal highly iridescent faces with intense adamantin brightness and well-defined geometric growth lines. They rest in paragenesis on a very aesthetic entanglement of white baryte blades with cream in rooster ridges. The whole is supported by a healthy matrix, enriched with cubic crystals of galena with a shiny lead gray metallic luster. A very graphic tricolor cabinet piece, offering a perfect balance of shapes and textures.
