SCHORL, CLEAVELANDITE and MUSCOVITE - Minas Gerais, Brazil
An aesthetic and classic association par excellence of the Brazilian pegmatites. Discover this superb specimen bringing together the Schorl, the Cleavelandite and the Muscovite from the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. The piece revolves around an imposing schorl prism with strongly striated longitudinal faces, displaying an intense jet black vitreous sheen. This major crystal is elegantly surrounded by two large foliaceous groups of beige-golden muscovite with pearly reflections. The whole rests in paragenesis on an aerial white cleavelandite matrix, formed by a graphic entanglement of fine feldspathic blades. The strong tricolor contrast and the sharpness of each species make this sample of 465 grams a splendid cabinet piece for demanding collectors.
