CARROLLITE and CALCITE - Kamoya South II Mine, Kamoya, Kambove, Haut-Katanga, DR Congo
This specimen combines Carrollite and Calcite from the famous Kamoya South II mine, located in the district of Kambove, Haut-Katanga, DR Congo. The piece is characterized by an elegant vertical growth, featuring two perfectly individualized carrollite crystals arranged in tiers. Each individual sports a very clear cubo-octahedral habitus, the lower crystal revealing in particular smooth faces with powerful metallic shimmering silver. They are based on a white and gray calcite matrix, textured and embellished at its base with discrete green mineralogical shades. This harmonious crystalline staging offers excellent relief and a strong visual impact in the shop window.
