This specimen from the Hirtzelach pass in Alsace is impressive for its compact structure and the complexity of its habitus. It reveals on its main face a very aesthetic tangle of thick and geometric lamellar crystals, creating angular reliefs and a small cavity lined with shimmering faces. The bright, silver metallic sheen plays beautifully with light. The back of the block reveals its original iron matrix, dotted with sparkling micro-crystallizations. A robust piece, very balanced and representative of the Vosges heritage.
