SMITHSONITE on GOETHITE and LIMONITE - Santa Eulalia Mining, Chihuahua, Mexico

€120.00
Tax included

This specimen features Smithsonite paragenesis on a matrix of Goethite and Limonite, coming directly from the famous mining district of Santa Eulalia in the state of Chihuahua in Mexico. The room is illustrated by a magnificent open pocket whose heart is entirely lined with a botryoidal aggregate of smithsonite. These overlapping nipples display a cream-white to translucent gray hue, enhanced by a beautiful waxy to pearl shine that ideally captures the light. This globular structure emerges from a healthy and alveolate matrix of brown-black goethite and ochre limonite, creating a striking contrast of colors and textures. A very graphic cabinet piece, offering remarkable relief for a neat presentation in the window.

8,70 x 8,20 x 6,10 cm
